As an artist, my journey with cross-hatching, ink, and pen drawing is both personal and deeply rooted in tradition. I’ve always been drawn to the raw and timeless feel of monochromatic art, where every line matters, and each stroke holds meaning. Cross-hatching, a technique that artists and engravers have used for centuries, allows me to play with light and shadow, creating a rich texture that feels alive on paper.
For me, each piece is an exercise in discipline and expression capturing emotion, movement,
and sometimes even conflict, all within the simplicity of black and white.
My work often delves into social themes, inviting viewers to engage with issues that affect us all but
are rarely discussed. I use art as a language to express these subjects in a way words often can’t. Each line is a conversation, each shade an expression of impact and connection. Through my pieces, I hope to make people pause, think, and feel, ultimately sparking a deeper awareness of the world around them.
